What is it about the bicycle that we love so much?
It brings us happiness, more health, it is a means of transport that helps protect the environment, its maintenance is cheap and we can take it to any destination.
The bicycle has become (and will remain) an essential vehicle in poor urban sectors, where access to the world of work and services is achieved by pedaling.
The origin of this day dates back to 2018 and is proclaimed by the UN General Assembly
“Encourages stakeholders to raise awareness and promote the use of bicycles as a means of fostering sustainable development, strengthening the education of children and youth, including physical education, promoting health, disease prevention, fostering tolerance, understanding and respect, facilitating social inclusion and a culture of peace“
